about

Among the yuccas and the Joshua trees, deep in the desert, close to the Baja border, there’s a ship buried in the sand. Some say there’s treasure in it. The only reason the Salton Sea exists is because of an accident, and now it’s shrinking. The rotten mud dries into toxic dust on the ever receding shoreline, and it's corrosive. Somebody knows where all the bodies are buried out here.

lyrics

Big passenger
Come rolling down the track
Big passenger
Come rolling down the track
Well I’m going to see the king
I ain’t never coming back

They call me Jack the Bear
Yeah I was a site to see
Well they call me Jack the Bear
And they wouldn’t stop following me
Tilapia on my breath
Now I’m lying at the bottom of the Salton Sea

My house is shaking
In the valley low
Yeah my house is shaking
I can feel it rumble
When that river rises, boys
Oh, I can feel that stone drum roll
